President scraps national agricultural mechanisation company

Luanda, ANGOLA, November 8 - Angolan head of State João Lourenço has scrapped the National Agricultural Mechanisation Firm (Mecanagro), a business entity supervised by Agriculture and Forestry Ministry. ,

 

According to a decree reached Angop Wednesday, the State Assets and Investments Management Institute was constituted a liquidation entity of Mecanagro.

 

In another decree, the Head of State approved plan for full privatisation of Coffee Reprocessing and Export Company of Angola (Cafangol-UEE).

 

In its press release, the President's Civil Affairs Office announces that Cafangol UEE is transformed into an anonymous commercial company, named Cafangol, SA.

 

President João Lourenço finally determines that the award of the shares of the said company complies with public tender procedure, under the Law 9/16 of Public Tenders.
