The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund serves US military personnel suffering the effects of traumatic brain injury and psychological health issues.

DALLAS, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, March 21, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- "Supporting these heroes helps to repay the debt which all Americans owe them for the sacrifices they have made," says the New York-based fund of its cause.

It's a sentiment echoed by Texas businessman and philanthropist Glenn Almack.

"The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is an amazing organization which is achieving great treatment results for our injured military, suffering from traumatic brain injuries and psychological health issues," says Almack of the fund.

Founded by the late Zachary Fisher, a fellow philanthropist, and businessman, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund exists, in its own words, "...to serve United States military personnel wounded or injured in service to our nation, and their families."

Almack goes on to say of his support for the fund, "The men and women of the US military put themselves in harm's way, to protect and serve our country. Unfortunately, many are suffering the effects of traumatic brain injury and psychological health issues, as a result of their service."

"These injuries," he continues, "are mostly as a result of their service in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Glenn Almack further adds, "The fund is meeting their treatment needs, by building a series of nine specially-designed medical care facilities, called 'Intrepid Spirit' centers, at military bases around the nation."

According to Almack, five are already open and serving, with four more under construction or subject to planning.

"They've achieved an incredible success rate of returning more than 90% of patients to regular service in the armed forces," adds Almack.

100% of donations to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund go directly to their programs. The fund's board of directors underwrites all administrative costs, meaning no portion of contributions is deducted.

This was another deciding factor in Almack's support for the fund.

"I became aware of this organization from an employee of one of the major corporations which support the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund," he remarks. "When I researched, the statistic that made me realize this was the right organization to support was that 100% of donations go directly to the organization's programs."

He continues, "There are other organizations which provide services and support to our injured veterans, but many have high administrative costs associated with them and are not treatment focused."

"I have the highest respect," Almack further remarks, "for the men and women that serve in the military forces of the US. I think it's our civic duty to help them, by providing the specialized medical treatment facilities required for those individuals who are injured as a result of their service to our country."

Of the fund's success in returning over 90% of patients to regular service, Almack concludes, "I think the success of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund's treatment speaks well for its efficacy."

Glenn Almack is also a patron of a number of other charities and organizations, including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Leukemia Research Foundation, as well as the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas and the Dallas branch of the International Dyslexia Association.
