The Democratic Party of Kenya set to hold its national delegates conference next month

The democratic party of Kenya is set to hold its national delegates congress next month in a bid to re?launch and start party activities countrywide in preparations for the 2022 general election.

The party delegates will also be mandated to elect new party officials. after being on the political deathbed for a year since the last general election, democratic party of Kenya officials have now come out to revamp the party with a number line up activities countrywide the party which did not filed a presidential candidate in 2017 but supported the re?election of president Uhuru Kenyatta is set to hold its national desolates congress come next month narc?k party chaired by Martha Karua and enjoys majority support from Mt. Kenya region, the PNU party which Kibaki sort his re?election with in  2007 and the democratic party which also enjoys majority support from mt. kenya region are the only party’s the declined to dissolve and join jubilee party.

Apart from a number of MCA’s elected on a dp ticket, the party failed to get any parliamentary seat. The party was formed in 1991 by the late john keen and retired president Mwai Kibaki.
