MTN ESWATINI BEST NETWORK IN THE GROUP

MBABANE – Historic! That is the apt word to describe MTN Eswatini’s experience in 2018. What will go in the history books is that the company celebrated its 20thAnniversary, its former CEO Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini was appointed Prime Minister and was crowned the best network among all MTN International companies.


MTN operates in 22 countries. It operates in Afghanistan, Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Cyprus, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bssau, Iran, Ivopry Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Sudan, South Sudan, Eswatini, Syria, Uganda, Yemen and Zambia.
The fact that MTN Eswatini was the best network was disclosed by acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sibusiso Nhleko.

unwavering interest


Nhleko said the achievement was attributed to the company’s unwavering interest of always wanting to improve the lives of emaSwati.  According to Nhleko, MTN’s network coverage is at 97 per cent.


He went on to disclose that they were about to complete network installation at Hlatikulu which is an investment of over E16 million. Nhleko said the project would be finished early next year. “We promise an epic experience in 2019. We will continue to innovate and bring new services to our customers,” Nhleko said.


He then thanked the customers for their support over the years. Nhleko said it had been through the customers’ support that they were able to plough back to the needy. Under its corporate social investment (CSI), Nhleko said MTN Eswatini built a school and a technical vocational education training centre at Mpaka. MTN Eswatini partnered with two government ministries and 16 local companies in implementing the project.
