A total of 6,466 adahi - sacrificed animals during Eid - will be distributed to vulnerable people in 18 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America, according to Dar Al Ber Society.
"The seasonal project is meant to ease people's suffering and bring them happiness. It is annually carried out in collaboration with 28 accredited entities abroad," said Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, executive director of the society.
The adahi will be distributed in Sudan, Gambia, Niger, Tajikistan, Ivory Coast, Russia, Benin, Tanzania, India, the Philippines, Somalia, Egypt, Kenya, Mauritania, Mexico, Nepal, Mali and Senegal, he stated. "The door is open for donors and philanthropists to chip in. Donation for the project starts from Dh350."
Records show that the Dar Al Ber Society managed to collect over Dh2 million used in buying and distributing 6,530 adahi to poor people in 32 countries in coordination with 46 entities and strategic partners around the world.
"All the livestock animals slaughtered are thoroughly examined before, during and after the slaughtering process to ensure public health."
