Bishkek, June 20, 2018 / Kabar /. Within the framework of participation in the high-level conference on the international decade of action "Water for Sustainable Development", a meeting was held in Dushanbe between Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhenish Razakov and Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Aziz Ibrokhim.
During the meeting, topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were discussed, including the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border and joint measures to prevent the escalation of incidents in the border areas.
Also during the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the two states in the transport, communication, cultural, humanitarian, trade-economic and water-energy spheres.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of joint implementation of agreements reached on the basis of bilateral talks between President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Emomali Rahmon.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted the need for bilateral consultations to implement the tasks set by the heads of the two states.
