ROSEMOUNT-The Central Lakes College Raiders hit four home runs and 13 doubles as they completed a 6-game sweep of the Minnesota Classic at the Irish Dome with three victories Friday.
In Game One, Kaye Smude and Katelyn Waytashek homered in a 12-3 win over Dakota County Technical College. Brooke Jerger finished 4-for-4, scored four runs and drove in three. Winning pitcher Andrea Wagoner walked two and allowed three earned runs and four hits and also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs. Smude and Waytashek each drove in three runs.
Wagoner and Sam Schimpp each had three hits in an 11-2 victory over Hibbing in Game Two. Wagoner drove in three runs and Waytashek two. Winning pitcher Kallie Plantenberg allowed just three hits and one earned run with three walks and a strikeout.
In the final game of the day, Smude and Larson homered in a 16-7 drubbing of Anoka-Ramsey. Smude finished 3-for-3 with five RBIs and Larson drove in three runs. Lisa Kossan also had three hits and scored four runs. Jerger and Wagoner each had two hits. Wagoner, Schimpp and Larson each drove in three runs. Larson pitched a complete game with six strikeouts and three walks. She allowed five earned runs and seven hits.
